About your letter, have you sent it to MIT Admission office?
Good work! Let me know if they respond (or do not respond) to your email. Don't forget also to write a CLEAR heading/subject of email.
P.S. please replace "want" with "would like" and "can" with "could" to make it more polite and formal.
